One of the most pleasant views is ready to be admired from a large terrace overlooking the city of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. The entire project of this 300.0 sqm house completed by Ivan Rezende Aquitectura was guided by the spectacular terrace of this two-floor penthouse located between Rodrigo de Freitas Lake and Botanic Garden.
The construction managed to beautifully integrate the internal and the external areas, emphasizing the visual permeability through the spaces, while allowing the owner to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings no matter which way he enters the house.
One of the masterpieces of this project is the chose of honed marble and exposed concrete that was used inside and outside the house and guarantee a cool personality, however outstanding to the project.
The bright white walls highlight the brilliant green and blue hues of the surrounding landscape, together with the clean lines that underline the modern traits of the project.
Another special material that has been used is the Mahony boards chosen for the floor. The first floor of this penthouse consists of a family room, the lunch room, the service area and three bedrooms: the master bedroom and the two children's bedrooms.
In order to complete the bright and exclusive flooring, the second floor is coated with Turkish travertine honed marble in the living room, dining room and in the 82m2 terrace which has a barbecue area. More, a turquoise mosaic of the Italian Bisazza covers the 9-meter swimming pool, thus interrupting the neutral colors, but bringing a fresh touch to this light decor.
