Modern Industrial House Incorporates A Cozy and Livable Feel With Exclusive Raw Materials

by in Architecture

This modern industrial house in southern Israel was designed by Zarta Studio, in collaboration with SHTAIGMAN for the minimalist interior design.

The house spreads to 220 square meters on two stories that offer the best conditions for a cozy and livable feel. For the industrial look, the architects and interior designers incorporated raw and local materials like concrete, wood, and metal, with exposed beams and polished concrete floors.

The color palette is dominated by a monochromatic scheme that is broken up with brown leather and distressed wood. The furniture pieces were mostly custom built specifically for this project. They include the long credenza in the living room, the coffee tables and the metal shelf by the entryway.

The metal stairs lead to an open area that overlooks the main living space.

The upper floor includes a master bedroom, the kids' room, the bathroom, and a multi-use loft with a TV area, workspace, and reading window.

Here, the bedroom amazes through the modern design choices. A black wall integrates a wooden headboard which warms up and opens the space.

The children's rooms are mostly made out of raw materials including concrete for extra protection. An alarm sounds and they have 10 seconds to get into a secure place and with the kids' rooms being safe, they know they’ll always be protected.
