The exciting contemporary architecture of this new residence was completed by Claridge Architects for a family that has recently bought the property located in Hampstead, north London. The neighborhood has a prominent village feeling bordered by grass areas and woods.
The contrast of the outside and the inside areas is highly visible. The interior of the house in characterized by a luxurious, but at the same contemporary and minimal look.
The architects replaced the former design with a modern styling - large windows in every room invite nature inside. This way, a conscious design has been achieved and a relaxed home at the same time, with luxury fixtures and light finishes.
The new house has a generous open living space, three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, an additional guest bathroom, and a specially designed TV room.
The house suits its owners' lifestyle and integrates a separate reading area in the living room and a contemporary fireplace, with easy-to-use bioethanol fire. The architects used for the flooring luxurious materials, with plenty of warmth, texture and natural materials.
Regarding the bathrooms, "the mix of materials in all the bathrooms – concrete, ironwork, wood, and glass – keeps them looking contemporary, but also cozy", they explained.
The walls contribute to the same calm and comfortable atmosphere. "We kept to a neutral color scheme but added feature walls of natural fiber wallpaper from Phillip Jefferson to create a cozy atmosphere, introduce some texture and connect the outside with the inside", the architects added.
